Open Water Diver

Take the plunge! Learn to scuba dive today and get started on a lifetime of adventure. Explore the underwater world — soar with sea turtles, visit pristine reefs, and discover historic shipwrecks. When you become a scuba diver, you will start a new adventure and your life will never be the same!
The Open Water Diver course consists of 3 primary components: knowledge development, confined water work and open water work. After mastering all three parts, you will become a certified Open Water Scuba Diver.

I. Knowledge Development

The first part teaches you the facts, principles, and concepts needed for diving. You will become familiar with the equipment used by scuba divers and what factors you should consider when choosing your gear.

II. Confined Water Work

You will learn basic scuba diving skills in a confined setting - it is during this portion of the class where you will take your first breath underwater! We take a step-by-step approach and each skill builds off of the previous skill.

III. Open Water Work

This final portion of the certification includes four dives in an open water setting (such as a lake or ocean) and is done over the course of at least two days. In these four dives, you will demonstrate mastery of the skills learned in the pool in an open water setting.

At least 12 years old and ready to have fun
